At all of the local gas (petrol) stations, you will find these fire buckets filled with sand. I used to think they were just outdated and kept around for looks, but I believe they are still in use! I haven't seen them used, but its probably best that each station has their own method of fire control as there aren't enough fire trucks, nor could they get through the traffic in time!
