dhobi wallas
The neighborhood dhobi wallas (clothes washers) having a break catching up! In the back is "my" dog blackie who I feed daily. (Good news - blogspot is back online in India! With public pressure mounting, the govt finally made the ISPs unblock sites that weren't specifically directed to be blocked. Basically the ISPs are lazy and when they see one site that is a blogspot site they just block all blogspot rather than figure out how to ban just the one!)

Great news about your ISP. I didn't realise internet censorship was such in democratic India. These sites certainly open windows on the world.
I love this pic too. And yes, I don't understand about this censorship. India is more democratic than China, isn't? Why would the governement block it?
yeah we are democratic, but they still kind of do what they want! but with public pressure mounting they can't do it for long. they basically they just wanted to stop websites that could propel communal riots (between hindus and muslims) something that can easily happen after a bomb attack.
Today I am the dhobi wallas (doing the laundry while catching up with you in India!). I love seeing "Blackie" in the background. A great shot. So very, very glad the general censorship has lifted with public pressure. Freedoms can disappear so easily and quickly if people aren't vigilant and active in keeping them.
