sleepy sunday
Nothing better than taking an afternoon sleep. In Mumbai you can see people sleeping all over town, all times of the day, in all situations! This guy was sleeping in front of a busy restaurant, on a busy street! (For anyone who isn't aware, blogspot.com addresses are being banned from some ISP's in India - including mine. I'm able to upload only through picassa. Lets hope it doesn't extend any further in the coming days.)

The price for the full meal is not bad, just around $4.00, and I bet you can get even cheaper meals at other places. You definately can't beat the prices in India! And the food is so good too.....
you can definitely get cheaper meals here - that by many standards would be considered expensive!! probably more than 60% of the population wouldn't be able to afford a meal like that.
Makes me feel like taking a nap right now!
Why are they banning blogspot addresses?
I really love the photo by the way!
Uh-oh. I hope you can have access to blogspot somewhere/somehow!
I love this photo...people sleeping anywhere and everywhere reminds me of being on a college campus. There was a well traveled path through a little park on campus and on nice days people would put little signs on them asking for a wake up at a certain time. Always made me laugh.
i'm not sure why they are blocking it. its been blocked in pakistan, china, iran, saudi, etc for ages. i haven't had access to it for the last 4 days and wasn't sure why, so did some investigating and it seems my ISP - which is state run has banned it all over india, but no one (news, govt, isp)is saying much about it. *perhaps* its just a glitch, but doesn't seem likely considering i can see everything else on the internet but blogspot pages! i'm able to see it only through pkblogs.com
Well, I sure hope they don't continue this. India is so progressive that it seems out of nature for them to do so.
I hope they allow blogger in the coming days. But you know there are other blogger platforms out there...
That's strange. I'm guessing...is it to keep control over rumors/flaming/communal violence (in light of recent events) ? Didn't the government jam the wireless signals after the bombings ?
they would never admit that they jammed the networks, but i wouldn't be suprised if they did! they blame the networks jamming on the phone companies, which i tend to believe - i guess it is bound to happen when you have 16+million people on the phones at once!
the latests "rumor" i've heard about blogger being blocked is because some officals in delhi were writing their opinions on a blog and the govt was afraid that it would cause problems and be taken as the govt's position. but who knows!
