salvation star
Last night was the second of the new "Salvation Star" LGBT nights that a friend is putting on. I went to support my friends, but also to learn a bit more about this "underground" scene in India. It is against the law to be homosexual and is generally a taboo subject. It was a decent turnout and as my friend said "history in the making".

To my knowlegde, homosexuality is not against Indian laws. But it is indeed not generally accepted.
There are actual penal codes forbidding 'unnatural sex' and sodomy (Section 377) which in essense makes homosexuality against the law.
