carrom
One of India's favorite pasttimes - Carrom. Its basically like finger billiards. This photo is from the orphanage that I often go to visit - the kids always get so excited to see us. They finally settled down a bit to play their "board" game!

I played this game all the time in Canada when I was young, and never knew it was the popular carrom board game from India. Simple fun game for kids (and adults) to pass the time! any smile from those sweet kids in the orphanage is worth a million dollars!
used to play it back in singapore.. fun for children and adults too.. my mum likes to play too :)
