Mahalaxmi Festival Decorations
All along Warden Road in town the road looks like this with tons of flags decorating the road. Its all for the yearly Mahalaxmi Festival to honor the goddess Mahalaxmi. Causes major traffic delays, but its fun to watch the crickety ferris wheel and the families all out enjoying themselves.
It is annual function but not just a standalone festival by itself. It is part of Navratri celebration. Nine different forms of "Devi" is celebrated on each day of Navratri
Am I right?
There are 3 main forms, Saraswati, Laxmi and Durga. I can go on but don't want to bore anymore :-))
