Does that mean that men do not give up their seats for women, so the bus company has to delegate seats or are they trying to separate the sexes?
From my own experience, it's not that common that men offer their seats, unless you are very stright fwd and ask for it. It's funny, but you get used.
However I do not think this is the "explicit" reason why the have these special seats for women, Iguess it's just about making life easier for ladies ina very populated city. It's a similar concept the local train, there are special compartments/wagons, just for women. But fore sure there must be deep cultural reasons behind.
But if we talk about "equality of gender" all the time, should it be like this? Why should me give their seat to women ;-) It's a cool way to challenge our worldview...
