Dussehra - Durga Puja

Dussehra (also called Durga Puja) is marked by the worship of Goddess Durga. The common theme in all the celebrations is the triumph of good over evil.
Today, the whole sequence of good vs. evil is played out culminating in burning the effigy of Ravana. The only place (that i know of) that this is done in Mumbai is here at Shivaji Park in Mahim. Sorry I couldn't stay to get photos of it burning, it was just too crowded already! Posted by Picasa

guess my confusion came with the sea right across from shivaji park being called "Mahim bay"
and the sports club located there called "mahim sports centre"!
