greenpeace?

All of the sudden these signs have started popping up near my house. The lane that the signs are on is a nice tree lined road, but full of traffic. Some of these signs show a person drowning, others show cars under water. I have no idea what these are for, if it is really GreenPeace and I have no idea what they are trying to say! This lane tends to get terribly flooded in the monsoons, so maybe thats what they are trying to raise awareness about, i don't know. Posted by Picasa

michael,

thanks for putting the comment on the guardian's website! And I am glad that you enjoy the photos - we do try our best to bring a real sense of what this chaotic city is all about!

they're obviously trying to tell you about global warming causing polar ice caps to melt. This will cause sea water levels to rise making streets like this one go underwater. And Why? because of the unfriendly gases emitted by cars on such busy roads.
