cricket!!
These boys are always playing cricket on the street next to ours and today I decided to finally stop and get a photo. Of course they have to stop the game and all gather around because none of them wants to be left out. Perhaps someday I'll actually get a photo of them PLAYING cricket!!

do they ever have girls cricket clubs in India, or have you ever seen them participate in 'street cricket'?
no, come to think of it I haven't ever seen any girls clubs or girls playing on the streets. genders are pretty separated here in what activities are acceptable.

Cricket is such a - I don;t know - bringer together of people, and I just love kids playing cricket (says I, mother to a 12 year old cricket tragic who can't wait for Septmeber and the new season to begin!)
