punky lives on
Keeping with the slum theme, this is one of my favorites (if you can really say that!) because it is always so colourful and lively. Of course today there wasn't a person in sight, but you can see no matter what their living conditions are like, they do all they can to make it a bright and lively place to live. (I find myself taking more photos of the slums lately mostly because there is a big drive to demolish all of the illegal shanties like this one - so someday this will only be a distant memory)

I think it's important to take pictures such as these. This is a testament to the human spirit and hope. I hope you continue to take "slum" pictures. I like them all!
