Um..um... Slaint you are mistaken, as long as I can perceive this situation.
I am sure you took this picture near some big temple like Shree Siddhivinayak or Shree Mahalxmi temple.
People leave their shoes out when they go to temple. In this case, this old lady takes care of footwear for those who visit temple and charge them like Rs.1/ or whatever they give.
What I like about them is, they don't beg. Beggers may be earning more than this lady per day but even at this age, she is "earning" money for herself and family. She is not "dependent" completely :-)
I really respect such people and at times feel very sorry for them that they have to work at this age.
KARMA??
oh no, Slaint you are right!!
She is selling those shoes and shining some too!!
My bad!!
She is doing what she can to keep body and sole together?
anonymous - this was no where near a big temple. it was deep in the heart of Mumbai near Kamathipura!
Probably confiscated pairs of shoes during police raids? :-)
Is that the place you for your NGO work?
some people have so much...others so very little.
