effects of modernization

mumbai central.. i always know i'm in this area because of this random modern building jutting into the sky! the green/red boxes are mailboxes, but i don't know if anyone really uses them - i surely wouldn't trust them!

Wow, that'S surely quite a contrast with those modern buildings in the background and the smaller, older ones next to it. Is the new building an office building?

the new building is an apartment complex. most of the fancy new buildings are apartment buildings.

and shockingly most of mumbai looks like this these days - new right up against the old and/or slums.

Go ahead, trust them. The Indian postal service is pretty effecient and those boxes are cleared all over the city on a regular basis. Would be a good idea to get a pic of a postman of ours. They usually do their rounds on a bicycle.
